We were up bright and early to catch our 3-hour ferry ride from Wellington to Picton.
It was chilly, rainy and windy...a good travelling day. All of our hosts apologized for the cooler weather, stating that it was one of the coolest summers they had had.
I counted six different languages being spoken amongst the fellow travelers.
We passed by our B&B!! It's right there in the middle of the photo on the shoreline.
As we headed further south, the sun came out...
...then not...
The ferry line passed out free scones! I had a hot "Honey/lemon/ginger" to accompany mine. It tasted just like the "Gollum Juice" I make to soothe my throat. I call it that because I got the idea for it while watching LOTR special features and seeing Andy Serkis tell about a mixture of honey, ginger, lemon and hot water he drank to save his throat while portraying that character.
Our arrival at Picton--a very small seaport village.
Looking for lunch.....uh, not here....
...or here...
We opted for meat pies :)
