A Rainy Drive Down to Queenstown

The next day we headed inland again, south east toward Queenstown,
hoping to see the Fox Glacier along the way. The heavy rain and fog prevented us from getting up close, however.

More sheep :)

The cowherder had just been walking these cows across the highway....

...Mountains getting higher and steeper...
...and bummer. Fox Glacier Road was closed because of the heavy rain :(

We did, however, go up a side road and get a glimpse of it.

One of our "Stop-and-Look" spots; this one was a small hike to Roaring Billy Falls

Driving along Lake Wanaka, Lake Hawea, and Lake Dunstan

Cromwell: They grow fruit here...

We stayed in Clyde, east of Queenstown, and ate more yummy food: Bread and dips again :)

I think Cory is "gourmeted out"...
